Brind’Amour named to NHL’s three stars of the week list
Carolina Hurricanes Captain Rod Brind’Amour has been named the NHL’s second star of the week. Each week, the NHL recognizes three players who delivered the League’s top performances over the preceding week.
Brind’Amour posted eight points (four goals, four assists) in four games last week. He recorded two points (one goal, one assist) in the Hurricanes’ 7-4 home loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Nov. 13, scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over the New York Rangers Nov. 15 and tied a season high with four points (two goals, two assists), including the game-winning goal, in a 4-1 victory over the Washington Capitals Nov. 17. He finished the week with one assist in a 5-4 victory over the Dallas Stars Nov. 18. The 36-year-old Hurricanes captain has an active eight-game point streak (6-7–13) since Nov. 4 and ranks third in the League in scoring with 31 points (10 goals, 21 assists) in 22 games.
